3 Cool Places To Dinner Date In NYC

So you’re in Manhattan and looking for a great date place for dinner. I can promise you this, the more you look online the more you will drown in food options as you will not be going hungry in the Big Apple on date night. Whether you are just visiting or live in this wonderful city and want a splash of inspiration for your special someone then don’t worry I’ve got it covered. I have tried many a place to get to this conclusion I can assure you. At least my gym membership is getting it’s use to bring you these top date night destinations.

Aria Wine Bar - 117 Perry Street

This cosy west village hotspot is tucked away from the area's famous jazz scene and is just perfect for a romantic evening for two. An extensive menu of cicchetto served to you on the rustic wood tables is dimly light in atmospheric candlelight. This place is a hidden gem with perfectly priced sharable dishes. I would say this location has absolutely no messing around great food and sports an affordable international wine menu which when ordered, is poured into low maintenance tumblers for that trendy edge of coolness. Exposed brickwork and overwhelmingly busy ambience you will feel like the coolest kids in town this date night. Top Tip would be to walk right on through and get a seat at the bar or go early to ensure you miss a 2 hour wait. The wait is not due to this place being the newest place in Manhattan, it’s because it's simply delicious.

Tokashi NYC - 456 Hudson Street

This place is ideal for interacting, trying new dishes and in all honesty things could get a little hotter than normal (you cook on your own personal table bbq). A Korean grill with beef based delights you will be in for trying a not so average meaty menu all to be cooked perfectly to your liking; by you. One thing is for sure- if it’s a first date then sparks may fly if the chemistry right as learning/cooking is a great way to take the date pressure off and get comfortable with each other. Another spot serving to die for wine in low key tumblers. The service is incredible in this intimate dinner date venue.

Pier 1 - Downtown Manhattan

This spot is not necessarily for the food but most certainly is for the view. Order a glass of rosé and an array of oysters from NYC and the surrounding areas. Grab a great seat by the window and enjoy views of the Hudson and Lady Liberty; you’re in NYC afterall. When you’ve had your fill on a typical NYC menu you can head upstairs to the newly refurbished bar and soak in the wonderful views from what seems like an intimate space in a large dimly lit venue in downtown Manhattan. If you have a glass or 3 then you may be inclined to stay and dance the night away here too. Wine not in tumblers.

May your bellies be full and your hearts be fluttering as the chemistry flows because these dinner date destinations are truly awesome and have a slight sprinkle of romance
